97 Ford Thunderbird help

I have a 1997 Ford Thunderbird 3.8. The car****** a little when accelerate, there is small knocking sound, and now there is a check engine light is on when I park my car. This happen last week so I took it to a mechanic and he did a simple turn up (spark plugs, Ignition coil, and a fuel pump). So my question is what is going on here?

What ws the code number/s being stored with the check engine light?

Found out what it was, it was a miss fire on 3 and one of the hose to the vacuum was lose so the mechanic fix the problem thank you for replying.
