I have a 97 ford taurus v6 duratec . My brakes got hard making it difficult to stop they don't push towards the floor at all.Their are no leaks and the fluid is full. ABS light has been on for a year now, don't know if that is a factor. The car now idels high when started then usally stalls. It spits and sputters as well. I noticed the exhaust is breaking at the flange between the flex pipe and cataletic convertor. Don't know if this is causing a bad vacuum or something. All i know is that this happened all at the same time. Any info would help me with getting this fixed. Thank You.

You seem to be in the habit of ignoring problems with the car. It makes it pretty hard to look past all the existing problems to find the latest one. It sounds like you're having a problem with the vacuum booster. It could be leaking internally or losing vacuum supply for some reason.
