The truck runs fine until the outside temperature gets below 60. Then the check engine light comes on and it will surge at idle in gear or in park. If you wait a minute or so it will stop surging. I also get error codes for my O2 sensors. I don’t understand that because I replaced them a couple of months ago. This really has me stumped.

I need to know all the codes you are getting. The idle air control valve (IAC) could be bad, a vacuum leak. Both of which can set an o2 code. Let me know what you found.

Hi,

I'm sorry but the individual never provided an outcome. Are you having the same issues? Is your vehicle the same year, make, and model?

Let me know.

Hi,

I am unable to read the IAT sensor reading due to glare. As far as the issue, have you checked to see if the coolant temperature sensor is sending the correct information to the PCM when the engine is cold or below 60°F? Also, the picture you provided indicates -100% on all fuel trims. Is that correct?

If it is negative 100%, it is getting too much fuel and trying to lessen the amount getting to the engine.

Do me a favor. Before you start the vehicle in the morning, check what temperature the ECT is indicating.

Also, let me know the codes you are getting.

Let me know.
