i lost my keys and was told it be easier to remove door lock and take to locksmith to get keys made ,since my key would open door and start truck ,how do i do that

WHY DON'T YOU CALL THE LOCKSMITH-----SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE

MAY BE AS SIMPLE AS RECITING THE "VIN NUMBER" TO HIM

IF THERE IS A "CHIP" NEEDED TO MAKE THE IGNITION WORK---MIGHT BE A WHOLE DIFFERENT APPROACH
