My truck is an automatic. Lately it will not always engage into park. It sometimes rolls backward or forward and you have to push the gear shift harder to engage it. I notice it happens sometimes when trying to put truck in reverse and it engages into drive. It seems like the gear shift is loose. Not sure where to start. I am hoping it is a shifter problem and not a transmission problem.
