1997 Ford F-150 Engine Vibrates

I have a 1997 Ford F150 4.2 V6 and the engine vibrates and the oil light comes on, doest stay on long, what could cause this?

First is your check engine light on? If so, have the computer scanned for codes.

There's many things that can cause an engine to vibrate: ignition misfire, lean misfire, failing harmonic balancer, internal engine damage, and more.
