1997 F150 Xcab & Bed.The passenger door speaker is
making cracking, gurgling and other noises sparatically with the radio switched on or off / with the engine switched on or off & with the fuse to the radio removed. It appears to be a continous drain of power on the battery. What is the best way to eliminate the power drain so battery can remain connected and radio operate on one driver side speaker?

;you will always have a continuous poser drain to your radio due to thememory in the radio. It is not much to worrry about. If your battery is draining down at night then it's something else and you can go to DIY section on here and see how to check for a draw on the battery other than the radio. Asfar as the crackling speaker, it's probably broken and sometimes you can reglue them to hold it to work right. otherwise its just a replacement and you can get pretty much a matching one at any place that sells radios.
