4x4 floor shifter is frozen, can't move into gear, it will move side to side.

1997 f-150 on the floor 4x4 shifter is frozen up. Tried a torch, penetrating oil and BFH, but can't free it up. Open to suggestions. Thanks

Disconnect the linkage from the trans and see if it will move then. It could be the trans.
