Codes said EGR valve needed replacing took it off and pipe to exhaust manifold just fell into my hand ??? Looks like beveled edge ? EGR seems to work when vacum applied ? !997 Ford Expidituion

Is it the small flex tube that broke? Has two rubber tubes attached to it? Ford stocks them, approx 100.00 USD. Was the code P0401? thios is EGR insufficient flow, and is the right code if, the tube broke, or the ports are clogged with carbon, or the posistion sensor needs changing.

Thanks has an exhaust leak now that is the tube looks like a flange @ bottom with a nut on it

Sammy can you tell me if it's the small diameter flex tube that attaches to the EGR? If not maybe a picture can be posted?
