I have a 1997 ford escort LX Wagon. It stops every 10-15 Min. Before stopping it makes a rattle noise and becomes powerless and it stops. What can be the problem?

Thanks,
Syed Javed

Does the noise sound like it is under the vehicle?

Youll need to rent a fuel pressure gauge at parts store. You need to know the pressure when this happens. If ok then test for a cloged converter by removing the o2 sensor and driving.
