1997 Dodge Truck Headlights

Are you wishing to fit separate hi and low lights? you can tap off the existing power supply but make sure you solder all joints, or you can do a better job by making a new loom for the head lights and wiring in two relays using the existing hi and low power feed to turn on the relays, this would be a far better option.

How exactly do you make a new loom? can you explain the diagram or how it would be set up?

the loom is just a term for the wires running to the new lights, a relay is an electrical switch, mount the two relays side by side look at the wiring diagram on the relay, this will show you how it should be wired up, just use the power wire from each light to activate the relay one for high and one for low, I am not sure how your relays are sold there as I am in Australia but they all work the same, on the bottom the terminals are numbered, pic shows a standard relay just make sure it is not a change over relay as this will not work in your application. also look for relays with 2, 87 terminals as each of these are powered up with the relay on so you can one light to each terminal.
