I have a 97 dodge stratus 5-speed trans and the engine is rebuilt with a lot of new parts but my 2nd gear is grinding everytime and my pressure plates are rattling while in neutral and when u hold the clutch in its quiet as kitten but few days ago my clutch got soft and smelled like it was burning and i have no power at all but engine revs good and has power but when taking off it takes a long long time to get up speed. It feels like something grabbing or holding car back majorly. not brakes at all. Can u help? ?

sounds like the clutch is slipping. Is the engine reving but the vehicle not picking up speed?
If the clutch is slipping you'llhave to replace it or have a shop do it for you.
