1997 dodge dakota. Battery voltage goes down to 10-11 volts at idle? Only does this after the truck has warmed up. Alternator is only 10 months old? Headlights get dim blower motor slows down I push on the gas pedal to raise rpms a bit volts go up to 14?

Was doing the same thing last winter so I changed the ALT and it was the same. Only does it after the truck has warmed up. What RPM should the truck be at when its warmed up and in gear. The voltage regulater is in the computer rite? Does the voltage regulator affect the voltage output on the ALT?

EVR is function of PCM and has everything to do with ALT output RPM range is 500-900 in gear. See if there is a code turn key on then off, on, off, on leave on MIL will flash two digit codes so flash pause flash, flash = 12 then post
