oil pressure problem

is there a screen to clean? what's involved to change oil pump?i don,t think it is a gauge problem.when idle,needle falls to zero.check engine light comes on. (oil level ok on dipstick.)rib up rpm.needle to 40.light goes out.thanks

maybe a sender problem? get an actual reading with mechanical gauge.
