how do i know what differential is in my truck all measurments takin dont match oem measurments

axles spline are 29 spider gears only have 9 teeth axles are longer than normal.its supposed to be D 35 tag on cover says d 35 but nothing matches
splines call for 27

if you didn't own this new someone may have changed it. see if you have any tags in golove box and go under axle for code.
