In the manual, it says to disconnect the alarm first by inserting the ignition key in a switch under the bonnet.

I can't find this switch. Any ideas where it is? Or what will happen if I just disconnect the battery anyway?

we have no info for this vehicle. if you just disconnect the battery you will probably hve to tow the car to the dealer to reset the codes in it.
