battery keeps dying altenator is fine (had it checked). when taking the negative battery wire off and tapping it on the post you can hear the EATX shutdown relay click could this be what is drawing the power?

There is no test that involves tapping the battery cable so the results are meaningless. If that relay stays energized all the time when the engine is off, suspect the ignition switch first and Engine Computer second.
