over heating fans not working and going into limp mode

it******** along wont pick up speed and water is getting to hot but onley showing hafe way on the temp gage

A bad temp sensor can cause the gauge to not read correctly. Also, it can cause the fans to not come on. Check that first if you are sure it is overheating.
