1997 Concord was overheating & no heat would blow out vent just cold air. Filled with 2 gallons of coolant to top of fill bowl. No longer overheating but only barley warm air blowing from vent. Temp gauge is between 1/4 & 1/4 to the hot mark?

First, did you bleed the cooling system to make sure there are no air pockets? Have you replaced the thermostat? If the gauge is only 1/4 of the way, (without seeing the gauge) is doesn't sound like the engine is warming up properly.

Let me know.
