i just put a new steering column on my 1997 chevy tahoe and now it wont start. i think its the security systen thats wont let it crank. what do i need to do?

you can try thisturn key to start, release to on and wait till the security light goes out, should take about 10 minutes. do this procedure 3 times. then it should learn the code and start.

other than that, you have an issue with the column
