I just put a new steering column on my 1997 chevy tahoe and now it wont start. I think its the security systen thats wont let it crank. What do I need to do?

You can try thisturn key to start, release to on and wait till the security light goes out, should take about 10 minutes. Do this procedure 3 times. Then it should learn the code and start.

Other than that, you have an issue with the column
