I have a 1997 chevrolet Tahoe 2 doors, 5.7L TBI engine 2WD with 200K milles.
truck runs okay on highway then sometimes when running at overdrive speed, transmission fails and go down to 3 and the cluster indicators stop working, even the p,r,n,od, 3,2,1 back light goes off. I was fixing that by pulling over and turning the engine off for a couple of minutes then back on again and worked fine... but now that is not fixing it and I had to drive around 25 miles in 3 this morning. I appreciate your help with this.
