intake manifold

I got the instructions you sent, thank you. The manual that I am using says essentially the same thing you sent. It is a Chilton and not a Mitchell but the info was the same. You mentioned the center electrical piece, I think that has to be the problem but I do not know what to do with it. I guess that is really the question.

check for screws around the center piece, bu tit should push through the plastic piece. there is an oring around it that should be replaced when you reinstall it but it shoudl come witht ehintake gasket set.

Thanks hmac300. I used a pair of channel locks to squeeze the tabs of the CFSI and the manifold pulled off right over top. Now it's time of go and figure out and fight getting off the compressor bracket. One last manifold bolt to go and its under the bracket. I hate this truck. Nothing but problems since new. Mostly electrical. It will leave you on the side of the road in a heartbeat. Trucks are trucks and you just gotta take the good with the bad but this pig had been nothing but a pain in the ass. No wonder GM needed a bail out after building pieces of **** like this. Just my luck.

here are some tips, i thought i sent these the last time so you odn'tneed to remove the bracket. Your truck may have the fuel pupmp wiring problem that requires a different connector and about a foot of wiring harness. sorry for your problems, i worked for GM in engineering for 32 years and alot of problems we tried to solve..
