My truck started to die randomly while I am driving at different speeds. Just cuts off no warning. Always starts up afterwards just have to turn the key. When I was driving at 70 mph it died and started up on its own. I have replaced crankshaft sensor. It has done it at idle and driving at different speeds. This week its done it 3 times last week did it 5 times in one day. So its very random. Battery is not very old just replaced fuel filter and fuel pump was replaced a year ago. I have replaced other parts but do not think they are related to this problem. A lot of work has been done to this truck in the past 3 years.

Check fuel pressure 60-66 psi you may need the pump that shold have the wiring harness replaced about the last foot of it. A lot of pumps come with this. That was a large cause of this problem.

The fuel pump is 6 months old and I have replaced the wires to it. I will check the pressure tomorrow anyways but I really don't think it's the problem.

In the models that had that problem that is what would happen. Recheck your wires where they are connected and make sure they just aren't twisted together and are soldered and covered with shrink tube. Make sure to scan for codes and then check crank and cam sensors. Also som eof those had bad coil to dist cap wires
