I recently blew my timing chain and, of course replaced it. After replacing it, I started it up and it ran like it was missing a cylinder. Thinking I mis-aligned the timing marks, I re-did the timing, just to make sure everything was lined up. Still, no change.
While trying to start the truck, I need to depress the gas. Once started it idles rough (800-1200rpm). Still runs like it is missing a cylinder. Driving has no power and when engine is warm, truck will not idle(dies).
After checking that I didn't unplug anything and that the sparkplugs are still good, I drove it down to the local auto parts store to see what codes came up. I also unplugged the spark plug wires, one cylinder at a time, to see if I can isolate an individual cylinder, but engine ran the same with each cylinder disabled.
I have checked to ensure plug wires are still connected, all of the connectors are still plugged in and not corroded, and hoses connected.
I took it all apart to make sure I got the timing right and didn't accidently go a tooth out of phase again. I also checked the resistance and power input to the coils and sensors, where Haynes had specs for them. Everything looks as it should.
The diagnostic codes that came up were:
P0300 - random misfire
P0113 - IAT sensor circut high input
P0141 - O2 sensor heater circut fault (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P0341 - Camshaft position sensor circut
P0342 - Camshaft position sensor circut, low voltage
P1441 - EVAP system flow during non-purge cycle
P0502 - VSS circut low input
Any recommendations on what I can do to get the truck back to working order?
