I was driving down road doing 50 I hit the gas and nothing happens. I couldnt get it started back up. It sounds like it was out off gas. Put gas in and still nothing. I let it sit for a couple hours went back to get it and it cranked up fine without a problem. Drove it a couple mines and it cut off again tried starting and nothing again. After it sits awhile I can crank it up without a problem. What could this be?

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure first

There are too many possibilities to list and it could be temperature related such as the ECT or it could also be a failing fuel pump that stops after heating up, electrical faults etc.

When it could not be started, you need to check what is missing which I would suggest getting an indea what to look fro from the link..

Unless the O2 sensor is shorting out somewhere if not it would not cause non starting. It might cause performance issues though.

That could mean a failing fuel pump or relay that is intermittently stopping after running for a while. Have the fuel pump tested.
