ok so heres a stupid question. i took my truck to a shop for a diagnosis problem. the mechanic told me my fuel pump is bad and im not holding pressure in my fuel lines. could this be something as stupid as a loose old cracked gas cap? or should i just do the fuel pump?

Have the fuel pressure check to rule out the fuel pump

he checked the fuel pressure and told me it was the pump. im just wondering if he missed something as small as a abad gas cap
