when I parked my van in Sept. of 2013 all lights worked, but now the turn signals and brake lights do not. I have checked all fuses and other lights (back up, tail, and front running) and they all work fine.

The vehicle hasn't been driven since sept of last year? Does it start and drive ok?

Did you check for voltage at the applicable fuse circuits? The stop fuse is hot/voltage all the time. The turn fuse goes hot with the key on. Use a testlite to check for voltage at fuse circuit.

Do you have a high mount brake lite, does it work? The lower brake lites are wired through the turn signal switch, could be a problem in that area of steering column?
