Hi, I have a'97 buick skylark. About a year ago headed on vacation, the car overheated and started losing water And we were told it was the heater core And a by-pass was done so it wouldn't leak anymore but we have no Heat. Then about 5 months ago I got stuck in traffic and the temp gauge went up, not quite to the red and no stream came out. As soon as I got to where I could turn off and let it cool down, it started to shake. Now it shakes from take off up to about 25mph, smoothing out after that. I took it for a diagnostic check at advanced auto And 3 codes came up. 1 was random multiple misfires and the other 2 were the same for cylinder 2 misfire. The guy said it was likely the plugs and wires. If so, How do I go about changing those?

Get coolant system pressure checked for a head gasket leak. If you do plugs and wires remove wires one at a time placing them in same order to cylingder and remove spark plugs when engine is cold so you don't strip the heads. Then use anti sieze when reinstalling new plug after gapping correctly. However misfires are very hard to diagnose so this may not cure it so get pressure check done first.
