Does a Buick Skylark 1997 2.4 L engine have a thermostat?

I already checked the upper housing hose and found nothing. I need to know where it is, does anyone have a link to a free online repair manuel???

mphautos is correct. It is accessed from the back of the engine and you may even have to remove the exhaust manifold to access it. DO NOT attempt to remove the water pump on this engine without a lot of research first. that is a major job involving the timing chain.
