If you flushed the entire system and replace the thermostat and everything was clean and flowing, make sure the radiator hoses are not collapsing when the engine is overheating. If they are good and you are getting good flow, chances are you have a bad head gasket or intake gasket. The 3.1L V6 had a problem with intake gaskets.

Let me know, and let me know if you are getting good heat in the vehicle.
