Car is stuck in park and wont start

I have a 1997 Buick Regal 3.8 supercharged, car was stalling when i used the turn signals last night, now its stuck in park and wont start. Initially started but wouldnt shift out of park. Turn the key and nothing, looking for some suggestions.

Almost al cars nowadays have a safety lockout for park and putting on the brake to start them. You can try replacing the brake light bulbs as that fixes many systems.
If it does not you may have to look into the brake switch or the area near the brake and then look for a cable or mechanism leading to the shifter. This is the shifter lockout to make sure you are in park when you start the car. It may need adjustment.
