replace drivers side door handle on 97 park avenue

I have already taken door panel off and removed the two screws holding the handle in place, but I can't get it out. Something else is holding it in.

Is the linkage still attached?

if you are talking about the outside door release, there are rods connected to it that need to be released. there are plastic clips that secure it to the handle and need to be unclipped.
