my car wont crank

my 1997 bmw wont crank. i have a new battery and they told me my starter was good. i left 8 hrs ago to take my kid to school it started fine. i tried to go get my kid and it would not crank thought maybe i left interior on or something but seems my battery has fire?????????? what could be my problem

EWS/DME alignment or the ignition switch.

they say that is it the security system in theft mode and i had to get a new key made from bmw. I did that and it crunk but when i put it in drive it cut off and wouldn't crank again it would only turn over....they are saying its still a problem wit the computer but im not sure is so how expensive is something like that?
