my car is a audomatic audi Av 1997 1.8. the revs keep dipping and then the car stalls when i slow down any ideas what the problem could be

Do you have a check engine light?

Probable causes here could be your turbo wastegate, engine
speed governor and electronic throttle actuator position sensor or the throttle actuator control module .
