1997 Acura Cl Car Drive 4 Hear Shift Gears 3 Doesn T Into Even Tried Manually

When my car is in drive 4 I can hear it shift gears up to drive 3 it doesn't shift into drive 4 I have even tried manually shifting it still no drive 4 . The transmission fluid is burnt. This has been doing it for approximate one week! Can u tell me what my next step is?

most likely is internal failure. with burnt fluid, that is an indication of overheating fluid and the trans may have to be overhauled.
