1997 Acura Cl Car Doing Something Very Weird V6 3 0 Drives Shifts

My car is doing something very weird (it a v6, 3.0)... it drives and shifts "normally". but when I stop totally, the transmission disengages (as if it was in N) and it takes 3 or 4 seconds to go into 1st gear again... what could be the problem?

Check the transmission fluid condition and level.
Check for trouble codes.
