Hi, I have a 97 Acura CL 3.0 and my check engine light went on few months ago with error code P0401 (EGR Insufficient flow). Did some research online and people suggested if I clean the EGR ports/passage and replace the EGR valve the problem should be fixed. I did all those but the check engine light came back on again after 100 miles. Can anyone advise what I can do next? Do I need to check for other parts as well or replace the tubes? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I did all the things the other link recommended (cleaned the EGR ports, passages, new EGR valve). But the error code still came back on after 100 miles. Any idea what else could be the problem? Thanks.

Thanks rasmataz. If the problem is the computer, is that mean I need to bring it to a shop to get it fixed?

Problem returned after 100 miles, there is a possibility the job of cleaning was not thorough, especially under the EGR valve.

The ports are rather difficult to be cleaned thoroughly unlessyou have something to dig into it.
