is it worth it to spend $2k on a96 hi mileage jetta

I have 96 jetta w/200k miles needs $2000 worth of various repairs. Air conditioning, lots of misc. Stuff,not engine ot trans. Do you think this makes sense?

A car of this age and mileage would not come trouble free, or least it won't be long before it requires repairs etc so you have to be prepared for those if you want to buy it.

Then again, how much can you expect from a 2k car?
