Open the trunk and you will find wing nuts that hold the light assembly in place. Remove the wing nuts and light assembly to access the bulbs.

I know this is an old post, but in case someone else is reading this...

Here' the real way:

- Open trunk
- Pull trunk liner to side to gain access to light assembly in trunk
- Find the 2 tabs opposite each other and "squeeze" them together
- Pull the bulb holder circuit board out of the light assembly
- Remove faulty bulb (push in on bulb and turn counterclockwise)
- Install new bulb
- Push Circuit board back into place until you hear 2 clicks
- Put trunk liner back in place
