HI MY VW GOLF HAS A TRANNY FAULT CODE 0260 VAGCOM SOLENOID N89 SPORADIC OPEN CIRCUIT,DOES A TRANNY MECHANIC NEEDS TO REPLACE THIS SOLENOID OR CHECH WIRING ETC? TODAY IT SEEMS TO DO IT VERY GOOD AND THEN OTHER DAY HE SLIPS IN 2 TH GEAR.

I would recommend having a tech with a scanner check the vehicle to see how it is responding. Using a real time scanner, he will be able to see how it responds.

hi jacob ok thanks going to take the golf to ganzeboom tranny repair and checking very strange that from today he did not slip nothing but vagcom keeps saying about solenoid n89 :-(

The trans mechanic will most likely have to drive the vehicle hooked up to a scanner until it slips again. At that point, he should be able to see what is causing the problem.
