I've got a VW microbus/kombi/caravelle 2.6i, and my bake fluid reservoir has sprung a leak from the master brake cylinder, it drips slowly if let alone, but if i press the brake pedal then it runs like a tap.

I don't know how to repair it, because i don't know what it's supposed to look like in the first place. There's one plastic plug sort of thing (connected to three wires) lying loose, but it does not fit in the hole of the master cylinder, and if it's kept there by force then it just overflows with oil the minute the brake is pressed.

So how can i go about repairing this?

Thank you.
