I have a 96 Toyota Corolla. My engine light came on and I went and got a test done and they said it was my catalyic convertor.I was wondering if it had a sensor on it could you still get it cut off or do you have to get it replaced.

You definitely can't just remove it. The fine can be as much as $25000. They make aftermarket converters that an exhaust shop can cut in and weld but Toyota has a tendency to have problems with aftermarket converters so you may have to get an OEM part for it.
