on 1996 toyota 4 runner the door ajar light stays on now after i washed the vehicle..also washed under hood..now closed all doors but ajar light stays on..but if i laeve vehicle and not run it for a day the next day it wont start so have to boost it..any help would be appreciated..also remote key fob will unlock vehicle but not unlock it

Check the door switch could be shorted out and draining the battery overnite

how do i check door switch for shorting out?..thanks again..any other suggestions are greatly appreciated
