1996 Subaru Outback Would Say Rattle Sound Very Noisy 1 2 Hour Occasionally

Would say it is a rattle sound. Very noisy for 1/2 hour, then occasionally for a minute or two at times. Mechanic claims its the heat shield, that it was scraped as much as possible, but the noise is worse than ever. The noise contines along with the speed driven.

it still may be the heat shield the y break off at where they are riveted. you'll have to have this checked locally
