misplaced intake and exhaust cam

I removed the top and bottom camshafts after I replaced them I restored the intake cam and the exhaust cam if I put the intake cam where the exhaust cam should be will that cause my car not to start up?

Well yes it would totaly different lobe profile

are there identifling marks on the cams to correct the problem and where would they be

No I.D. marks but exhaust cam lobes are slightly larger than intake. so measure lobes to find out. need Micro or dial caliper
