Subaru electric problem

Have a 1996 subaru impreza Several electrical problems. Speedometer doesn, t work and parking lights do not shut off without disconnecting battery. Is this a difficult or expensive fix?

Are you sure it is the parking lights that are staying on? Are front clearance and dash illuminations lights staying on? If not, it could be the brake lights instead. Check for a faulty brake switch or missing stopper for the brake switch located on brake pedal.

The speedometer not working could be due to a faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor. Get a scan done to retrieve for trouble codes to see if it indicates a faulty VSS.

Job should not be too difficult nor expensive to rectify.
