Why does my subaru take long to change the gear after a rest?

1996 SUBARU B9 SC (HYBRID)

Its an N4 subaru with auto transmission,turbo charged and 4 wheel drive.

It could be fault with the control body. Check the transmission fluid level and condition. If fluid looks brown, have it replaced and retest.
