steering column stuck. Tried pulling it left to right. Still cannot turn my key

The tumblers are likely jammed from wear. If you can't free it up by working the wheel back and forth or tapping on the side of the lock, then you will likely have to replace the lock or the steering motor is locked up.

Just to add to this one if tapping on the key hole lightly doesnt free it up look at your key is it badly worn?If so have a fresh key made unless you have a lightly worn copy have the key cut from your key code from the last 8 of the vin by lock smith or dealer not a copy of your worn key and see if that key turns the cylinder.I always try a fresh cut key if the cylinder doesnt turn before replacing the cylinder.
