Electrcal problem

My friend tried to put a radio into my car and couldnt do it but anyways the dashboard and night time running lights in the back of the car went out. All the other lights work where do I start looking I know its not a fuss please help

How do you know its not a fuse?I would start by checking the parking light fuse in the underhood fuse box.
